Castagnoli

Castagnoli is a small winery near Castellina in Chianti, first mentioned in 998 AD. The estate was among the pioneers in Tuscany to cultivate vines and olive trees strictly organically. Sangiovese is grown as Albarello bush vines on ancient terraces in co-habitation with olive trees. The 11 hectares of vineyards are divided into 19 different crus to showcase the unique terroir and the differences that Sangiovese displays between different micro-climates. Castagnoli’s wines aim to showcase the pure greatness and originality of Sanguis Jovis, the blood of Jupiter: Sangiovese
