San Leonino

San Leonino started off in 1040 as a farm attached to the San Leonino church in Conio, where its name and logo come from (featuring the bell tower). It is situated in the municipality of Castellina in Chianti and spans 102 ha, 40 of which are planted with vineyards. The south and southeast-facing vineyards are at 270 to 400 m above sea level, on Alberese soil (a typical soil in Chianti Classico). San Leonino aims to be an exemplary Tuscan Farm producing artisanal (Sangiovese 100%) wines that are a true expression of that precise part of Chianti Classico.
