Lornano
Lornano is a family-run winery located in the southeast hills of Castellina in Chianti, on the border between Castellina and Monteriggioni and has been a member of the "Consortium of the Chianti Classico Gallo Nero Historical Mark" since its foundation in 1924. The property has 180 ha of which 66 are planted with vines. The 80% of them is planted with 15 different selected clones of Sangiovese. The rest is cultivated with Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small percentage of Trebbiano and Malvasia. The winemaking philosophy is monovarietal to elevate the Sangiovese and the territory.
