Oltre la bottiglia

Priklonskaya Polina

The Artwork: Oltre la bottiglia stems from the desire to celebrate and elevate what lies hidden beyond the iconic symbol of Chianti Classico: the territory, the daily labor, and the people who, with dedication and expertise, contribute to the continuity of the winemaking tradition. The artwork adopts the shape of a wooden wine crate and uses the silhouette of a bottle as a frame through which to observe the landscape. The absence of the bottle thus becomes a symbolic void that fills itself with its surroundings—nature, memory, labor, and community—while still keeping the form immediately recognizable. The choice of material also takes on a significant value: wood, and specifically oak, recalls the tradition of wine production and the fundamental role it plays in defining the character, aromas, and identity of the wine itself.
