For the second time, Kerin O’Keefe awards 100 points to a Gallo Nero wine: Gran Selezione Radda Bragantino 2021 by Monteraponi

Chianti Classico once again shines on the international stage. The world-renowned wine critic Kerin O’Keefe has once again given the perfect score of 100/100 to a Gallo Nero wine: the Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Radda Bragantino 2021 from Monteraponi.

This is the second time O’Keefe has granted the maximum score to this wine, confirming the excellence of the Gran Selezione category as a benchmark within the denomination.

In her review, O’Keefe wrote:

“The 2021 Gran Selezione Radda Bragantino is a wine of staggering beauty and proves that Monteraponi is without a doubt one of the premier estates in Chianti Classico. A wine of great class, intensity and precision, it boasts aromas of lavender, pine forest, eucalyptus, baking spice and underbrush while the creamy, elegantly structured palate delivers layers of crushed raspberry, cherry tart, mint and white pepper before closing on Radda’s trademark salty note. Firm, refined tannins and bright acidity keep it impeccably balanced. A compelling wine, and the best is yet to come. Drink 2030–2051.”
