Terreno is situated in the heart of Chianti Classico, just outside the village of Greve in Chianti. We, the Ruhne family, started making wine here in 1988. Since then, we have developed our own philosophy, which runs through all our work. Like the rest of the Chianti Classico area, Terreno has gone from making simple table wines to terroir-driven wines where sangiovese expresses its wide range of nuances in the glass. In Terreno we have a total of 150 hectares, 20 of which are dedicated to vineyards and 10 to olive groves. We have been certified organic since 2014 and are now self-sufficient to meet the energy needs of the estate. Hospitality is very important to us. Our Restaurant is surrounded by vineyards and is open from April to October. Here we cook elegant dishes with local ingredients and vegetables from our organic garden. We are waiting for you for guided tours of the vineyards and the cellar and to taste our wines together.
