The FEST Project (Future of European Sustainable Taste)<\/strong>, funded by the European Union, continues to support the presence of the Chianti Classico Denomination of Origin<\/strong> in Europe by focusing on strategic investments, educational activities, and events that bring together tradition and innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New initiatives are strengthening the position of the Chianti Classico denomination<\/strong> in the French market through the promotion of its wines and olive oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chianti Classico Wine Consortium<\/strong> and the Chianti Classico DOP Olive Oil Consortium<\/strong>, guardians of a unique gastronomic and cultural heritage, therefore reaffirm their commitment to promoting quality, sustainability, and local identity in France and throughout Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHIANTI CLASSICO, A TERRITORY OF EXCELLENCE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With a history spanning several centuries, Chianti Classico<\/strong> represents an undisputed benchmark of Italian gastronomic excellence, and more broadly of European excellence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Representing 480 producers<\/strong>, the Consortium protects a unique territory where the production of wine and olive oil is inseparably linked to a culture of certified quality and respect for the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exported to more than 160 countries<\/strong>, Chianti Classico has become one of the most prestigious references in global viticulture. Its geographical boundaries\u2014among the first ever defined in the world\u2014were originally established in 1716<\/strong> by decree of Grand Duke Cosimo III of Tuscany<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The term \u201cClassico,\u201d<\/strong> added in 1932<\/strong>, distinguishes the original production area from other Chianti wines. The symbol of the Black Rooster (Gallo Nero)<\/strong> represents its values of authenticity, innovation, and diversity\u2014promises that can be found in every glass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUSTAINABILITY: ENVIRONMENT, PEOPLE AND CULTURE AT THE CORE<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
