As Consorzio Vino Chianti Classico and Fondazione per la Tutela del Territorio del Chianti Classico we represent Gallo Nero wine – one of the best ambassadors of ‘Made in Italy’ in the world – by protecting the historical and cultural heritage of its production area. Likewise, we represent a large, tight-knit community made up of women, men and entire families, many of which own and run tourism and trade businesses.
Our vineyards are shining in the sun. Our wines are resting, carefully cared for with passion. But the people of this breathtaking land are suffering greatly today, experiencing unprecedented difficulties.
This is why we want to offer meaningful, real help to support them in overcoming this extremely challenging moment.
We are calling on all our producers, as well as anyone who wishes to participate, to contribute in any way possible in support of the families in need within our territory.
My name is Tessa Capponi Borawska and I am the President of the Foundation for the Protection of the Chianti Classico Territory.
On behalf of the producers of Gallo Nero, I would like to address all those who love our beautiful region, whose hospitality you have experienced and whose wonderful products you appreciate.
The health emergency generated by the Covid-19 virus has put a strain on the economy and the social stability of our country and it is at this time of gradual recovery of the normal activities that the difficulties of many families of our territory dramatically come to the surface. The living fabric of our territory, the people who live and work in it, and therefore the entire ecosystem finds itself in a situation of sudden fragility despite the efforts of the local administration who are committed to responding to the numerous everyday needs of the community. This is why I ask you to join us in offering to help the inhabitants of the Chianti Classico area. The well-being and the development of our land only can only find a balance in the well-being and development of each of its inhabitants. Nobody can be left behind.
Please make a donation to families residing in the municipalities of Barberino Tavarnelle, Castellina in Chianti, Castelnuovo Berardenga, Gaiole in Chianti, Greve in Chianti, Poggibonsi, Radda in Chianti, San Casciano in Val di Pesa, who today find themselves in great difficulty.
