With more than 600 members, of whom approximately 350 are bottlers, the Chianti Classico Wine
Consortium now represents 95% of the entire denomination and has an up-to-date, well-structured
and professional organization in charge of the mission for which it was created: protecting and
valorizing Chianti Classico wine and its trademark.
In terms of both protection—involving the test laboratory, technical inspection and legal
offices—and valorization—entrusted to the marketing and communication office—the consortium works
through different departments bound together by a common commitment to makers and consumers of the
"classic" and its territory of origin.
